At the EMO trade fair in Hanover, Losma unveiled its latest technological innovations in air filtration and workstation safety. Headlining the show were the Argos Pro and Galileo Extra, featuring new 4.0 functionalities. Argos Pro: more practical and 4.0
Designed for large machine tools and centralised installations, the Argos Pro is renowned for its ability to remove oil mist, vapours and fumes from machining operations. Its cartridge filter system with increasing efficiency provides higher performance and lower consumption. This technology increases filtration efficiency and filter life while maintaining greater flow uniformity at the filter inlet.
In terms of maintenance, filter removal is easy, quick and clean. The two chambers of the filtration system are separated by a sheet metal partition. This has been ingeniously designed to serve as a support for the filter elements themselves.
In this larger version, the structure has been reinforced to eliminate the vibrations and noise typical of this type of device. This new construction offers increased strength, which is always appreciated during transport and handling.
The filter unit is now equipped with a pressure gauge as standard. This makes it easier to monitor the clogging of the filter elements by means of a direct reading. It can be equipped with a digital ‘LED Up’ display that indicates the clogging status via three different colours.
Available in three sizes, Argos Pro offers flow rates ranging from 3,000 to 15,000 m3/h and various filtration combinations with efficiency ratings of up to 99.97%.
Galileo: perfectly calibrated extraction systems
For installations requiring greater flexibility, the Galileo Extra also offers new possibilities for the extraction of oil mists and emulsions. Appreciated for its compact size, it is designed to be mounted directly on the machine. Five models are available with flow rates ranging from 245 to 2,750 m3/h.
Its extraction technology combines static and dynamic filtration to ensure maximum efficiency:
- Thanks to the action of the turbine, which extracts oil mist and polluting particles from the air, these particles aggregate and return to a liquid state according to the principle of coalescence.
- Before being returned to the atmosphere, the air passes through a multi-layer filter that traps the smallest particles.
- Finally, the oil recovered in liquid form is returned directly to the machine for reuse.
With its energy-efficient motor, compact size and great flexibility, Galileo Extra offers high performance and environmental friendliness. The extraction systems are equipped with a filter clogging indicator. It signals in real time when the filters need to be changed. LED signals alert the operator to flow fluctuations or malfunctions caused by filter blockages.
It should be noted that, depending on the type of production and the number of machines in the workshop, the suction system must be calibrated to meet specific energy and health requirements.
